Kullecid and Vivian arrive in the Dead of Night!
Have you ever felt that crisp chill in a Fall night? The kind that sends a shiver down your spine, or stands up all the hairs on your arms? Perhaps you’ve felt an instinctual need to look behind you if only to confirm the chill wasn’t brought on by something shrouded in the darkness?
This week, the shrouds have revealed themselves.
The latest Parasite Dragon, Kullecid, and Void Speaker, Vivian, join their counterparts in the Withermoon Season. Take a look at more details for this Dragon and Rider coming this week!
This week, Crisis will be flying the new Withermoon Dragon and Dragon Rider live on our weekly livestream. Catch the show on Twitch this Wednesday (10/2) at 3pm PT.
Void Parasite
A blood-sucking denizen from the darkest depths of the Void.
In the shifting and dangerous dimension of the Void, there are many Powers, intelligences, and factions that claw for dominance or escape or both. Kullecid does not care about any of that, nor is Kullecid particularly interested in mortals, their world, or other dragons. Kullecid instead cares a little bit about the hunt for prey, any prey, and a great deal about the delicious feast that awaits once it has grabbed firm hold of that prey. It is therefore worrying to the few scholars who study the Void that the ravenous and insatiable Kullecid has emerged into our world this Withermoon, for it was either driven out or lured here and both possibilities do not bode well.

Design Intent and Strategy:
Kullecid’s spell kit revolves around rapidly cloaking in and out of battle to weave its spells and breath attacks together in a constant dance of death. Kullecid’s main offensive spell is Syphon Strike. Syphon Strike heavily damages all towers in the small target area and heals Kullecid on cast. Proper target prioritization with Syphon Strike is imperative, as Kullecid relies on Syphon Strike to enable its two blue defensive spells, Blood Mist and Bloodlust.
Blood Mist is Kullecid’s primary way of avoiding damage. When cast, Kullecid cloaks briefly and recovers a portion of its missing ammo. Blood Mist combines well with Kullecid’s other spells, and mastering these different combos is key to the Dragon’s success. A great opening combo is to destroy the Blue Mage Tower with Syphon Strike, use up all available ammo, cloak with Blood Mist to replenish ammo, and then uncloak and repeat.
If the Dragon is in need of a powerful heal, Blood Mist and Bloodlust can be used in quick succession to ensure Kullecid receives the maximum healing possible from the ammo spent. Blood Mist can also simply be used to avoid incoming attacks while waiting for Syphon Strike to come off cooldown.
